How it works
A connected operational process from field collection through DMS records, cashier settlement and operational closeout.
Field Collection → DMS → Cashier Settlement → Reconciliation. Collection and Settlement is a Codithic DMS capability. Field collection can happen through Codithic SFA. Cashier settlement is performed in DMS and does not complete automatically.
A field user can view outstanding invoices and collect payment during a customer visit, where supported.
Codithic DMS receives and maintains the collection information as part of the operational collection layer.
The cashier settles collected payments in DMS. Settlement is a DMS activity, separate from field collection.
Operational reconciliation provides control after collection and settlement.
Collection information is recorded in DMS. Field collection, cashier settlement, and operational reconciliation are separate steps. Recording a collected payment does not complete cashier settlement, and collection is not required on every customer visit.
Operational connections
Codithic DMS is the core management platform for collection records and cashier settlement. Codithic SFA is the mobile-first field execution layer that can support payment collection during documented field workflows.
Field user / Van Sales
A field user or Van Sales workflow can view outstanding invoices and collect payment against outstanding amounts during a customer visit, where supported. Collection is not required on every visit.
Cashier in DMS
Collected payments are settled through the DMS cashier workflow. This step is separate from field collection and does not happen automatically when a payment is recorded.
Order and invoice information provides context for outstanding amounts. Collection & Settlement does not replace Order Management.
Documented Van Sales workflows can support viewing outstanding invoices and collecting payment. Those collection records then continue in the DMS operational process.
Collection and cashier-settlement information can support operational reconciliation and closeout. This is operational review, not financial accounting or a bank ledger.
Field collection
Assigned customer → Outstanding invoice → Collection payment → Payment history
DMS and cashier settlement
Collection payment → DMS collection record → Cashier settlement
Operational closeout
Cashier settlement → Operational reconciliation
Viewing an outstanding amount, recording a collected payment, settling through the cashier workflow, and reconciling operational records are separate steps. These sequences are documented relationships, not one fixed process for every visit.

Record cashier settlement in DMS, separate from the field collection that precedes it.
