How it works
A simple inventory management process to keep your distribution operations informed.
Track → View → Manage. Inventory Management is a Codithic DMS capability. Current van stock can be viewed during Van Sales field execution through Codithic SFA. The operational structure is Product, then Batch, then Stock, then Operational Use.
Track inventory movement across documented distribution workflows.
View current stock information by supported product, batch, or location.
Keep inventory information up to date to support orders and deliveries.
Inventory in Codithic DMS is batch-based. The operational structure is Product → Batch → Stock → Operational Use. Viewing current stock is separate from recording or updating inventory, and from planning or carrying out orders and deliveries. Inventory Management connects that stock information with orders, Van Sales, delivery, returns and replacements, and reconciliation. It provides operational stock visibility. It is not a warehouse management system, and it does not forecast demand, replenish stock automatically, or generate every movement on its own.
Operational connections
Codithic DMS connects inventory information to the operational processes that depend on stock, including orders, field sales, delivery, returns, and reconciliation where supported. Codithic SFA remains the mobile-first field execution layer.
Order processing uses order information together with current stock context. A field user can check available stock before an order is delivered.
Van Sales can view current van stock, create an order, deliver when that stock is available, deliver an existing order, and handle return or replacement activity before reconcile and unload.
Inventory information supports delivery planning and fulfillment for existing or predefined orders. Route planning, assignment, and delivery execution stay with Delivery Management.
Returns and replacements use inventory as stock context for products moving through field activity.
Inventory information supports operational closeout across field activity, delivery, returns, and unload.
These sequences show how inventory information relates to operational activity. They are conceptual business workflows. Viewing stock, recording or updating it, planning or carrying out orders and deliveries, and reconciling related activity remain distinct steps.
DMS operational flow
Stock → Order → Fulfillment → Delivery → Return / Replacement → Reconciliation
Van Sales path
Current Van Stock → Customer Order → Deliver → Return / Unload → Reconcile
Delivery context
Existing Order → Delivery Plan → Assignment → Load Request → Delivery → Confirmation → Reconciliation
