Delivery Planning
Prepare delivery plans from existing or predefined orders before execution begins.
Codithic DMS
Plan. Execute. Complete.
Manage the end-to-end delivery process based on existing orders. Codithic DMS helps you plan deliveries, assign work, manage load requests, confirm delivery, handle return collection and reconcile at the end of the day.
Key capabilities
Manage the complete delivery lifecycle with connected operational information from existing orders through closeout.
Prepare delivery plans from existing or predefined orders before execution begins.
Assign delivery work before load preparation and execution, where assignment is part of the operation.
Prepare the required delivery workload and submit a load request after delivery assignment.
View or update operational delivery status as assigned work moves through the documented workflow.
Carry out assigned delivery work against the planned workload, using relevant order and inventory context.
Confirm delivery with one configured approach: the delivery operation itself, or an email/SMS code where messaging is configured for the deployment.
Handle products returned during delivery activity, where return collection is part of the operation.
Close the delivery cycle with operational reconciliation and unload after delivery activity.
How it works
Delivery planning is based on existing or predefined orders. Order creation belongs to Order Management and any approved field workflows. Delivery Management then takes that workload through assignment, preparation, execution, and closeout.
Existing / Predefined Order → Delivery Planning → Delivery Assignment → Load Request → Delivery → Confirmation → Status → Return Collection → Reconciliation → Unload. Delivery Management is a Codithic DMS capability. Confirmation uses one configured approach. The Delivery role in Codithic SFA provides mobile-first field execution.
Start from orders already in the DMS order layer.
Build the delivery workload from those orders.
Assign delivery work before load preparation.
Prepare the assigned delivery workload.
Execute against the planned and assigned work.
Confirm using the configured confirmation approach.
Keep operational delivery progress visible.
Handle products returned during delivery activity.
Support operational closeout after delivery activity.
Complete the field workflow with unload.
A load request supports delivery preparation after assignment. Confirmation uses one configured approach: the delivery operation itself, or an email/SMS code where that verification is configured. Email or SMS messaging uses customer-provided SMTP or SMS APIs, or a Codithic-arranged messaging setup when agreed. Return collection applies when products are returned during delivery. Reconciliation and unload support operational closeout. This workflow is operational delivery management.
Operational connections
Codithic DMS manages the operational delivery process. SFA is the mobile-first field execution layer. The Delivery role executes assigned work in the field. Delivery Management is not a separate product.
Delivery confirmation can be configured according to the operational process. The options are alternative approaches, not two mandatory steps.
The delivery operation itself confirms the delivery.
Delivery can be confirmed through an email/SMS code where messaging is configured for the deployment.
Order Management provides existing and predefined orders. Delivery Management does not create the original customer order as its primary responsibility.
Planning prepares journey and delivery work. Delivery planning then works with existing or predefined orders before assignment and load request.
Inventory supplies stock context for fulfillment. Delivery Management uses that context during load request and execution. It does not operate as a warehouse management system.
The Delivery role is part of Codithic SFA. Field users can work with assigned deliveries, load request, delivery, confirmation, status, return collection, reconciliation and unload. The mobile workflow is field execution connected to DMS, not a replacement for DMS.
Return collection during delivery activity connects with returns and replacement operations. Inventory remains the stock context for those activities.
After delivery and return collection, operational reconciliation and unload close the delivery cycle. This is operational closeout, not financial accounting or settlement as a ledger.
Existing orders
Order Management → Delivery Planning → Delivery Assignment
Load preparation
Assigned Delivery → Load Request → Delivery
Operational closeout
Delivery → Status → Return Collection → Reconciliation → Unload
These are conceptual business workflows. Delivery Management does not create original orders, optimize routes, track vehicles, or perform accounting.
